another year of SLP has come to a close…
Hi kiddos (and parents)!
I hope you all are having an awesome summer vacation. It is really hot out there so remember to drink lots of water and stay in the shade if you go outside!
Our final Summer Library Program (SLP) was yesterday, June 23rd. If you missed it, you missed an awesome program courtesy of Inky the Clown (but you can call him the Inkster)! Inky came all the way from Jackson, MS to perform for our final program. Inky started with a few juggling tricks, then a little bit of magic, he talked about his favorite books….one of which caught on fire, and he had a lot of help from the sea of kids that came to the show! Inky is a really good juggler…wow he didn’t break anything at all while here, but we held out breath a couple of times! After the program Inky stayed with us and helped award our readers their final prizes. The program was super fun and we all really enjoyed it, thanks to Inky and his silly antics! Check back soon for pictures of the program….
Now that the summer program is over things will slow down a bit at the library, but be on the lookout for some new programs starting up in the fall. We will be restarting our Between the Lions Early Literacy Program and we will also be introducing a new program, The Family Place Library. Parents be on the lookout for new information coming soon about these programs.
Until next time….stay cool and have fun!
See you at the library!
